Who we are
Mark Mitchell is a police officer with 17 years of service in law enforcement, beginning his career in 2009. He has held roles as a field training officer, instructor, and member of specialized units including criminal interdiction, robbery interdiction and enforcement, street crimes, and vice, intelligence, and narcotics. As a task force officer with the FBI, he focused on violent gangs.
Mark has extensive experience in narcotics, gangs (including complex investigations involving racketeering and authoring Title III affidavits), homicide, robbery, sex crimes, burglary, domestic terrorism, public corruption, counter-intelligence, organized crime, cyber-crimes, internet crimes against children, art fraud, violent crime, and white-collar crime. He is certified as an undercover employee, with expertise in establishing and operating covert assets across these areas.
Mark has received Task Force Officer of the Year from the FBI and Gang Investigator of the Year from the Florida Gang Investigators Association. Earned commendations from the FBI, Defense Intelligence Agency, North Carolina Gang Investigators Association, Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, and the Hollywood Police Department.
Mark has instructed courses on gangs and undercover operations for federal agencies, gang investigators associations in Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina, as well as public safety institutes and local agencies in South Florida. He has provided expert witness testimony as a gang expert in Florida's 17th Judicial Circuit and authored articles published by Police1. He holds an Associate in Science degree and certifications in basic, intermediate, and advanced gang specialist; undercover employee, management, and operations; transnational criminal organizations; international money laundering; criminal interview and interrogation; line supervision; drug parcel interdiction and delivery; clandestine laboratory investigations; patrol drug investigations; drug identification; criminal and terrorist identification and apprehension; legalization of marijuana; fentanyl workshop; general instructor techniques; field training officer; improvised explosive device awareness; AR-15 armorer; Glock armorer; and crisis intervention.
